To ensure the durability and optimal performance of your Melitta® Montalatte milk frother, follow these cleaning guidelines: 

Daily Cleaning (After Each Use)

1. Unplug & Disassemble – Remove the jug, lid and frothing disk kit.

2. Rinse Immediately after use – Rinse the jug with cold water and mild detergent to prevent milk residue from drying.
   

3. Wash Components

• Jug – Dishwasher-safe or hand-wash with mild detergent. Avoid strong detergents and abrasive tools (e.g., hard nylon or metal brushes) to prevent surface scratches.
  

  

• Jug Lid – Dishwasher-safe or can be rinsed with water (below 80°C).
  
  

• Frothing Disk Kit – Rinse with clean water, wipe dry, and store with the frother.
  

  

  
  

4. Wipe the Exterior – Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the base and heating plate. Never immerse the base in water.
   

5. Dry Completely  – Allow all parts to air dry before reassembling.

Deep Cleaning (Weekly or As Needed)

1. Frothing Disk Kit – If any buildup occurs, soak the frothing disk kit in warm, soapy water for 10 minutes, then scrub gently.
   

2. Clean the Interior – If milk residue builds up, clean it with warm water and soap, then rinse thoroughly.
   

   

   
   

3. Inspect & Clean – Check and remove any milk residue from small gaps.

General Safety Precautions

• Unplug the appliance before cleaning.
