Matcha Espresso is a beautifully layered drink of matcha green tea and espresso with milk. Matcha is finely ground Japanese green tea powder. It is green in colour and it does contain caffeine. This drink is easy to make at home.
First, add 1 teaspoon of Matcha Powder to ⅓ cup of warm water, then mix thoroughly with a spoon. Second, add the matcha mixture to the bottom of a cup, then add ⅓ cup of ice cube.
Third, slowly pour the milk over the top of the ice. Fourth, add ⅓ cup of ice in the cup, then slowly pour the expresso over the top of the ice.

1 teaspoon Matcha Powder
1–2 Shots Espresso
1/3 Cup Milk
1/3 Cup Warm Water
1 Cup Ice Cubes (Divided into thirds)
Vanilla Bean Syrup (Optional)
Add vanilla bean syrup (optional) and matcha powder to 1/3 cup warm water. Mix thoroughly with a spoon or milk frother.
Add matcha mixture to the bottom of a cup. Add 1/3 cup ice.
Slowly pour the milk over the top of the ice. Add 1/3 cup ice.
Slowly pour the espresso over the top of the ice.
