Coffee Processing Methods: Wet-hulled

December 21, 2021

This process is also known as the ‘semi-washed’ process. The outer skin is removed, similar to the washed processing method, but the mucilage remains on the parchment and is sun-dried. After drying is complete, the beans are extracted, just like in the dry process.

This method combines the advantages of unwashed and washed methods. The machine remove outer skins and the beans are exposed to dry by sun. After drying process, famers store the seeds for 24 hours and then dry them.
