An Irish Shamrock Latte is a festive green coffee drink inspired by the symbol of the shamrock, often associated with Ireland and St. Patrick’s celebrations. It’s a creamy espresso-based latte infused with cool peppermint and sweet white chocolate, giving it a smooth, minty flavor with a dessert-like finish. The signature green color — created with matcha or natural food coloring — adds a playful, seasonal touch, making it perfect for St. Patrick’s Day or anytime you want a fun, lucky-themed coffee.
To make an Irish Shamrock Latte, brew one shot of espresso and set it aside. Heat and froth one cup of milk until silky and smooth. Stir white chocolate syrup and a small amount of peppermint extract into the espresso, then mix a pinch of matcha (for a natural green hue) or a drop of green food coloring into the milk. Pour the milk over the espresso mixture, spoon some foam on top, and finish with whipped cream and crushed mint candy or chocolate shavings if desired. Serve warm and enjoy your lucky, minty-sweet latte. ☘️
