Chai Spiced Cold Brew is a delightful and refreshing coffee beverage that combines the rich, smooth flavors of cold brew coffee with the aromatic spices of chai. This drink typically starts with a base of cold brew, which is known for its mellow, less acidic taste, making it a perfect canvas for bold spices. To create the chai element, a blend of traditional spices such as cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, and cloves is added, often mixed with milk or a non-dairy alternative for creaminess. Sweetener can be included to balance the spice, and the drink is served over ice, making it an ideal choice for warm weather or any time you crave a unique twist on your coffee routine. With its combination of invigorating coffee and warm, comforting spices, Chai Spiced Cold Brew offers a deliciously invigorating experience that’s both energizing and soothing.
To make Chai Spiced Cold Brew, start by combining coarsely ground coffee and cold water in a large jar or pitcher, ensuring all the coffee grounds are saturated by stirring well. Cover the mixture and refrigerate it for 12 to 24 hours to steep. Once steeped, strain the coffee through a coffee filter or fine mesh sieve to remove the grounds, setting aside the cold brew concentrate. Next, prepare the chai milk by whisking together your choice of milk and a chai spice blend in a separate bowl, adding sweetener to taste until fully combined. To assemble the drink, fill a glass with ice cubes, pour in the cold brew, and then add the spiced milk, stirring gently to combine. For an extra touch, sprinkle a little additional chai spice on top before enjoying this refreshing and flavorful beverage!
