1. Add Descaling Solution: Fill the tank with equal parts (1:1) white vinegar and water, up to the MAX line.
   
2. Start the Brewing Cycle: Press the Start button to begin brewing. The solution will run through the system.
   
3. Automatic Shut Off: The machine will turn off automatically after about 12–15 minutes.
   
4. Rinse: Fill the tank with clean water and run TWO full brewing cycles to rinse out any vinegar.
   
5. Clean the Removable Parts: Clean the filter basket and carafe in warm, soapy water.
   
6. Reassemble: Put the filter basket back in and leave the lid open to dry.
   

Using a Melitta® Descaling Solution:

To use the Melitta® Descaling Solution, simply follow the instructions provided on the packaging and pour the solution into the water tank.  Follow the steps above to finish the brew and rinse process.

Important Notes:

• Always remove filter papers and grounds before descaling. 

• Never use bleach or other harsh chemicals.

• Descale every 30–40 brews or as needed, depending on water hardness.
