Caramel Brulee Latte is an espresso drink, which includes caramel sauce, coffee, milk, and whipped cream. This high-quality, aromatic coffee is mixed with steamed milk and a caramel brulee sauce which you can use your own homemade or store-bought. You can top up your drink with whipped cream and even more caramel sauce. This coffee is released during the fall and continues to be served during the spring. This recipe will make your drink taste almost exactly like the original Starbucks Caramel Brulee Latte but is easier, quicker, and cheaper to make at home.
Strong coffee -You can utilize the TRUE AROMA SELECTOR®️ function of the Aroma Enhance™ Coffee Maker that provides an optimal balance and control of your coffee, and will allow you to create a strong one easily for this recipe. You can also use any strong coffee for this drink; espresso is a good choice—We like it. Don't buy new coffee for this recipe; just make use of what you have in the house.
Caramel brulee sauce - For the sauce, We make our caramel brulee sauce by combining two Torani syrups: caramel and French vanilla. We combine the two because they complement each other. You are welcome to try out this combo since it can be used in other drinks like Vanilla Latte or Caramel Macchiato.
Milk - Any kind of milk that you have on hand is good to use. Dairy-free substitutes are also fine, such as unsweetened coconut milk or almond milk, but it will affect the flavor. You can try it out if you want to make it dairy-free.
Whipped cream - Here, any whipped cream will do. Homemade, store-bought, or even dairy-free will all work here. The whipped cream is always a treat but it's not fundamental for the recipe to work.
Step 1 - To give your coffee an extra special touch, make a sugar crumble topping while the coffee is brewing. Mix a small amount of sugar with some salt and place the coarse mixture on a piece of parchment paper. Crumple up your parchment paper into a ball then smooth it out again and lay it on the cookie sheet. This will keep the sides from curling up and burning. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees.
Step 2 - Bake the sugar/salt mixture until it is brown and bubbly. Make sure to watch the mixture very carefully because sugar can burn quickly. Flip the mixture occasionally and remove when parts are brown and bubbly.
Step 3 - Make a latte by pouring your syrups into the bottom of a coffee mug and then filling it with your coffee or espresso. Next, pour in the cold milk or warm up your milk and add it in. Before adding it to your coffee, you can also steam and froth your milk in a proper latte style. Lastly, top with some fresh whipped cream and a big spoonful of the homemade caramel brulee crumble.
You should drink this caramel brulee latte right after you make it, while the milk is still foamy and the coffee is hot. But you can also prepare it in advance and place it in the fridge until you're ready to enjoy it. With proper sealing, your coffee should last up to three days. When you're ready to drink it back up, heat it on the stove or in the microwave until it's warm again.
